At The Theatre was first established in 2006 as a review site for local shows and was re-established in 2015 to take that vision forward and profile shows, theatres and our genuine recommendations for each theatre – such as where to park, where to drink and other useful information.

We believe that you can see incredible theatre outside of London, so we are flying the flag for national touring theatre – letting you know when you can see amazing theatre near you – by working with the local theatres and shows to ensure that we’re giving you the information you need to know, from whether a show is right for you – or even if it’s a good version.

Run by a small team of thespians based in the North West, we will cover professional tours that are touring the UK, West End productions as we recommend what to go to see if you are visiting London and also the occasional local feature from a local theatre group who risk it all and give up so much time and effort to produce a show for the passion of it and the enjoyment that it will bring to everyone involved.

We’ll also bring you the biggest stars in theatre, with interviews and photos for you to share and enjoy, with the opportunity to win tickets for a show near you.

If something is worth going to see, we will tell you. The same with bars, restaurants, hotels, car parks, taxi companies and more. Why? How do we know? Because we’ve been there, we’ve visited the business, we’ve watched the shows. You’re getting a genuine recommendation from a genuine thespian, just like you!

Whilst we will ask for a contribution from our partners to assist in the running of the site, We will NEVER advertise anything that is not completely relevant to the show or theatre that you’re viewing on our site. You will never see click bait, sponsored news or any of the other annoying rubbish that are on most content based sites these days. We are a premium, glossy online magazine here for your entertainment and information.

If you would like to contribute to our website, we would love to hear from you. We’re in it for the love of it, so join our team and contribute news, or reviews to our site. Talented reviewers will be sent free tickets and programmes so that they can attend theatres as our representatives and review shows on our behalf and you will be fully credited for the review and as a contributor to the website.

If you are looking to promote a show, or are from a PR company, please send your press releases to newsdesk@atthetheatre.co.uk – We would love to cover your show.

We only cover top level professional theatre and interview the biggest stars, with the exception of our monthly featured exceptional local group. So we regrettably cannot cover or promote local amateur groups unless you are chosen as our featured group, so get in touch to tell us why and when your show is and we’ll pick the best to feature among the professionals on our site.

We hope you enjoy reading and being our website, please get involved, share and lets enjoy UK theatre together.
