Al Murray’s ‘Let’s Go Backwards, Together’ Tour Will Stop Off At Crewe Lyceum

Al Murray, commonly known as The Pub Landlord, is embarking on a common sense campaign to re-Great Britain in his brand-new show,Let’s Go Backwards Together, which he brings to Crewe Lyceum on Friday 19 May at 7:30 PM.

We live in troubling times. Europe. The NHS. Whatever the hell is going on in the Middle East. The gathering storm of fortnightly bin collections? Who knows where it will all end?

Watch the one man who will answer the call of destiny even though it’s an unlisted number. Watch the one man who will call time on tyranny even though he isn’t quite sure what it means. Watch the one man who isn’t afraid to say no to women ordering anything other than a glass of white wine (or fruit based drink).

For over 20 years Al has filled arenas around the world, won numerous awards and accolades and has successfully hosted and an array of TV series which include Al Murray’s Happy Hour (ITV) and the ground breaking sitcom Time Gentlemen Please (Sky One) which has become something of a modern day cult classic. Al’s other live TV appearances as The Pub Landlord includes three appearances on The Royal Variety Performance (ITV1) hosting Live at the Apollo (BBC1) and Live at the Palladium (ITV) to name just a few.

Al has combined his passion for film and history through filming programmes including Al Murray’s Great British War Movies, Al Murray’s Great British Spy Movies, Al Murray’s German Adventure (BBC Four) and Al Murray’s Road to Berlin, a moving 10-part documentary made for The Discovery Channel. He’s also enjoyed great success as a writer with various works including Book of British Common Sense, and Think Yourself British.

Marketing Officer Michelle May said, “Enjoy an evening of priceless quick-fire wit as everybody’s the nation’s critically acclaimed bar-based-braveheart Al Murray – The Pub Landlord comes to Crewe this May!”
