Ask Me Anything

The Paper Birds asked young people, living in today’s world of mobile phones and Google, to write and ask them anything. Nothing was off limits. They received over 100 letters from across the UK and this show is their reply. Inspired by the magazine problem pages we read growing up in the 90s and 00s, in Ask Me Anything The Paper Birds become the agony aunts. The show explores what young people think, want and worry about today. It’s about what different generations can learn from each other. The show features original live music from celebrated singer-songwriter Rosie Doonan who was nominated for the prestigious Horizon Award at BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and performed with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Birdy and Chris Martin of Coldplay.

The Paper Birds is a multi-award-winning devising theatre company with a social and political agenda, known in the UK as leaders in verbatim theatre; artists, investigators, entrepreneurs and educators who tackle complex issues and make them accessible.
