Camden Fringe: Feet – A New Play

Lucy can’t pay the bills. For quick money, she joins a foot fetish agency. However, when the cash starts rolling in, Lucy begins to question her choices and her identity. A black comedy, FEET asks if compromising your artistic integrity and ultimately selling yourself – or your feet – is worth it in order to survive.
FEET is a brand new play written and performed by Emma Brown and Lawrence Smith. Following graduation from the Royal Academy of Music, Emma and Lawrence decided to create their own content that mirrored contemporary issues. After many discussions, they felt compelled to dramatise and explore the world of the foot fetish industry, as an allegory for how today’s young creatives are expected to ‘sell out’ in order to succeed.
