Cannon and Ball are back by popular demand for their fifth year at the Lyceum Pantomime

Following the record-breaking successes of the last four pantomime seasons, Crewe Lyceum have announced that hilarious comedy double act Cannon & Ball will be back in town to star as the Court Jesters in this year’s unmissable family pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, from Friday 11 December.

Highly regarded for the pair’s long-running ITV television series The Cannon & Ball Show, Tommy and Bobby are world-renowned for their classic comedy routines and trademark catchphrases such as ‘Rock on Tommy!’. One of the nation’s best-loved double acts, the pair have gone on to success in sitcom, gameshows, comedy shows, summer seasons, plays and pantomimes, and have excelled in every aspect of entertainment with their hilarious comedy routines, sketches and songs.

Staged once again by producers Qdos Entertainment, the team behind the Lyceum pantomime since 2013, this year’s production promises all the laughter, magic and seasonal entertainment that Cheshire audiences have come to expect from Tommy, Bobby and the team.

Following their roles in previous pantomimes of Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Jack and the Beanstalk, and last year’s popular production of Peter Pan, this year’s production makes Crewe Lyceum history, with Tommy and Bobby becoming the longest-serving, consecutive pantomime stars in the venue’s illustrious history.

Crewe Lyceum Theatre Director Adam Knight said: “It is an absolute joy to welcome Cannon & Ball back to the Lyceum for another record-breaking season. Year on year, attendances are growing for Cheshire’s favourite family pantomime proving that true star quality that these legends of the entertainment world bring to our stage is unbeatable in its appeal to the young and the young at heart.”
