Cinderella – Liverpool Empire Panto

Cinderella is this years offering – fun for all the family in Liverpool, your seasonal must-see.

Another pantomime to be taken over by QDOS for the first year since First Family Entertainment closed, the Liverpool Empire always produces an excellent Panto, and luckily for us, this one is another hit.

The glitz and the glamour of the panto seems to be enhanced with the new producers. A huge, sparkly set forms the grand backdrop of this huge show – which is fun from start to finish.

Duncan James takes the lead role of Prince Charming – most notably from the boy band “Blue”, but also well known to Liverpool in his current role of Ryan in the Channel 4, Hollyoaks. Duncan comes across as an incredibly endearing character and is a perfect casting.

Standing out as much as anyone else is Olivia Sloyan, in the title role – Cinderella. She brings quality from the first moments of the show.

John Evans, lifelong entertainer, is spot on as Buttons. His audience rapport means that he often has the crowd in the palm of his hand – and it’s a seriously funny place to be. He has kids and adults laughing out loud. Along with the ugly sisters (Daniel Taylor and James Templeton), you’ll be in stitches.

And of course, Cinderella needs her Fairy Godmother. Jodie Prenger is a real star with an illustrious career and her star quality shines as brightly as her wand.

A professional company alongside the “Liverpool Empire Babes” (a selection of performers from local dance schools) complete a very solid, high quality pantomime. It is the must of the festive season. Incredible fun for all the family.

Cinderella plays Liverpool Empire until Sunday 7th January – to buy tickets visit
