La Clique – Review
Every Christmas a beautiful winter village is built in the centre of Leicester Square by Underbelly and a show is featured. This year’s show is La Clique. La Clique, born at the Edinburgh fringe in 2004, is a modern cabaret that involves burlesque, circus acts, fantastic music and lots of fun for the audience; it runs for just under two hours including an interval. The venue is perfectly suited to the show and the bar has a great range of drinks including some Christmassy treats.
The Mistress of Mayhem, Bernie Dieter, will seduce and entice you to relax and enjoy the show, but be warned if you are in the front two rows (these seats are slightly more expensive) be prepared to be involved in the show in more ways than one.
All of the singers in the show and the onstage band are incredible and the acts do not fail to impress, from sword swallowing to contortion to sensual burlesque routines and a personal favourite the charming Gentleman Juggler, Florian Brooks. In the tent; difference is celebrated, queer is adored and kinks expected!
The show runs from the 8th November – 4th January 2020 at Leicester Square Spiegeltent. Book tickets here
