Mowlem Theatre Are Hosting A Rep Theatre Comeback This Summer
Repertory Theatre is slowly making a comeback out of the unknown and it is all starting here at Mowlem Theatre.
For those of you who don’t know what rep theatre is, it’s where a consistent rotation of plays are held at one theatre with the exact same cast members throughout. With such a fast paced environment actors of the finest calibre these shows have to be of the finest quality.
The Swanage Cast members are out to test themselves as they begin work on performing 3 back to back plays. The rotation is fast paced and doesn’t leave much breathing space with the set and prop changes happening within a day at the most.
As you can tell from our featured image the Swanage cast are all brilliant talents that have proven themselves worthy on a number of levels. From the professional debut of Jack Mosedale to the incredible experience of Nicola Faraday this cast is a vibrant one full of variety and promise. And with the list of plays that are on offer, it is hard not to get excited:

Yes, Prime Minister
One of the finest British satire shows to ever exist gets a stage revival for one week at the Mowlem Theatre. Written by Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, the original writers of the classic BBC TV series, Yes, Prime Minister, brings us yet more hilarious satire and farcical performances from the corridor of power.

The Secret Garden
This stunning adaption of the well-loved children’s classic by Dave Simpson is a touching escape to the country for the whole family to enjoy. It was last performed in Bournemouth 3 decades ago.

The Game’s Afoot
A Sherlock Holmes-style comedy thriller, The Game’s Afoot is your traditional ‘But Who?’ tale with plenty of laughs guaranteed and was the winner of the 2012 Edgar Award for Best Play from the Mystery Writers of America.
