Since 1968 Glyndebourne has been taking to the road with its annual Tour providing an opportunity to experience affordable world-class opera on your doorstep.

Glyndebourne’s first visit to the city coincides with the recently launched Opera Liverpool project. Renowned opera companies Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera and Opera North have joined forces with the Liverpool Empire Theatre and Liverpool Philharmonic to make opera more accessible, highlighting the increasing opera experiences on offer in the city.

The Tour is focused on what always lies at the heart of Glyndebourne: exceptional opera. It is renowned for nurturing emerging talent and launching the careers of young artists. With intervals of 20 minutes and the opportunity to either dress up or dress down, the Tour has a more relaxed feel – except on stage, where the attention to detail doesn’t falter.

The Tour opens at Glyndebourne on 11 October 2019 for three weeks of performances. It then visits Canterbury (5–9 November), Milton Keynes (12–16 November), Liverpool (21–23 November),Woking (27–30 November) and Norwich (3–7 December).
