As the curtains closed on BBC’s Let It Shine there have been details released about the new Take That musical, The Band. Gary Barlow has been keeping the show’s details on the down low during the running period of Let It Shine.
The show finished with the winners Five To Five, consisting of Sario Soloman, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T John, Yazdan Qafouri and AJ Bentley, going through to become a part of this massive production. The band were hugging and crying as Graham Norton announced their victory. The show was also had Robbie Williams reuniting with Take That and a special guest appearance of Peter Kay dressed as the loveable Honey G.
However, it has been confirmed that Five To Five wont have any spoken lines during the musical.
Further details have been announced by Gary Barlow that the musical will be based on the lives of five girls which will be told through the music of Take That. The casting of the female lead roles has yet to be announced.
The Band will kick start their UK tour in Manchester’s Opera House on Friday 8th September and will run until Saturday 30th September. The tour will then continue across the UK with dates at Sheffield (3 – 14 October), Bradford (17 – 28 October), Southampton (31 Oct – 11 November), Llandudno (14 – 25 November), Stoke (28 Nov – 9 December), Cardiff (9 – 20 January), Liverpool (23 January – 3 February), Norwich (6 – 17 February), Canterbury (20 February – 3 March), Hull (6 – 17 March), Leeds (20 – 31 March), Newcastle (3 – 14 April), Bristol (17 – 28 April), Birmingham (1 – 12 May), Plymouth (15 – 26 May), Northampton (29 May – 9 June), Nottingham (12 – 23 June), Glasgow (26 June – 7 July) and Edinburgh (10 – 14 July).
Tickets will be going on sale on the 3rd April.
